Terms and Conditions of the Yatra:
  1. The above rates are inclusive of II class train ticket fares.vegeterian meals .dormitory accommodation, coffee and tea and bus charges (Deluxe bus)
  2. These rates may be changed if there is any increase in diesel or petrol, helicopter journey etc or some other reasons and same will be passed on yatris.
  3. Due to train booking commence 20for 90 days in advance, please program your tour accordingly.We will provide seats in bus as per advance payment recieved from yatris on aFirst come first served basis, this will be followed strictly.
  4. We will send detailed program to yatris for the tours booked.
  5. Due to unavoidable circumstances if yatris cancel their program the advance amount made by them will not refunded But if it is travel in the van/bus we can adjust their advance amount if they recommend some other yatris and they can collect the same from them.
  6. Please arrange to send cheque/Demand Draft payable to Ethirajan Tours & Travels to the address by courier/Speed post along with a covering letter mentioning the tour participated.

  • In a recent email I received from one of the traveler who traveled with Ethirajan travels:

    Hello all,

    I wish to share my experience with the above travels organized by Mr. Madhavan.

    Myself (70), my wife (60) and my Sambandhi Mami (65) went on a tour of Badrinath, Kedarnath etc., through his travels leaving Chennai on the 17th May 2010. This being our first organized tour, we were all excited about the trip.

    I called Mr.Madhavan before the trip to see if everything has been taken care of. He mentioned that he has taken care of all our tickets.

    Though he had booked a confirmed ticket for the onward journey, he had booked a waiting list ticket only for our return journey from Delhi to Chennai.

    He did not tell this to us till the last date (29th May) nor did he give us the tickets till the 29th. On the 29th, when he gave us the tickets we came to know that it is only a waiting list ticket!!
    (Waiting list No: 18 to 20). What a shock it was!! He told us to come to the station and that he would arrange for our journey.

    At the New Delhi station, he did not at all do anything to get us any ticket and he simply left us at the platform and boarded the train and went away leaving us in lurch!! Thus we were stranded at the Delhi station.

    Fortunately for us, we had our sister in Delhi where we went and made our own arrangements for
    our return journey by air through KingFisher airlines leaving Delhi on the 31st.
    As we could not get any reservation by any train/class to Chennai at the last minute, I had to travel by air. I had to spend about Rs 35000 extra for this purpose.

    The pity is that even after our arrival at Thanjavur (i.e., our place) he did not contact us to say anything in this regard.

    The mental agony and physical discomfort undergone by us could not be expressed adequately in words.

    The travel arrangements and food served were also far from satisfactory.

    This is our experience with this travel agency and I would never, even in my wildest dreams, think of traveling with them again.,.

  • @Jayashree,

    It looks like the number of complaints against this travel operator is on a steep increase. I would see if any one from Chennai could get in touch with them to see if they are doing anything to correct thier mistakes.
