Sri Narasimha Temples in Chennai

Narasimha Avatar is more unique than any other incarnation of Lord Vishnu. In all other incarnations, the Lord was born on the Earth. He was amidst the worldly people and helped them out of their sufferings. But in Narasimha Avatar, it was all just in a fraction of the second, the Lord came down, rescued His devotee and then disappeared. Everything was instaneaus. This is what is called as kadigai in Sanskrit, which means 'fraction of time'.

There are a lot of Sri Narasimha temples. We would here introduce you to a few Sri Narasimha temples within Chennai.

  • There is a beautiful and unique Lakshmi Narasimhar in "ninra-thirukkolam" - the temple is in Ponniammedu (opposite to Amalgamations plant on Red-Hills road). Dont miss the temple - the Lord is beautiful and unique!

  • There is a beautiful Lakshmi Narasimhar - both in Ninra-thirukkolam (Lakshmi is standing beside the Lord). The temple is in Ponniammedu on Red-Hills road. (Opposite to the Amalgamations Plant on Red-Hills you find find a large banner. It will be across the road from the Amalgamations Plant). Don't Miss it - the Lord is Beautiful and Unique (Ninra-thirukolam)
