Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple, Narasingapuram (Perambakkam)

This new moon day coincided with Deepavali and my house members had travelled to Thiruvellore to worship Vaidya Veeraraghavan (Evvul Kidhanthan) on the holy day. And through them, who had seen the advertisement in front of Sri Ahobila Mutt, Thiruvellore, I came to know of a very old temple called Narasingapuram Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar temple. A brief search in Google revealed some tidbits of information on the temple. I would like to present a compiled information over here, along with the information given by Narasimhan, who is also in the administrative trust of the temple.

The temple is located in Narasingapuram near Perambakkam, which is about 21 Kms from Arakkonam. The temple is located on Chennai - Tandalam - Perambakkam route. And also Arakkonam is near Sholinghur, which is another famous hill temple of Lord Narasimha. Currently the temple is in a very much dilapidated condition and is requiring lot of renovation. Renovation efforts have been forced by the trust in full swing and the trust is in need of philanthropic support to complete the service to the Lord. It would be a great service for us to visit the temple once and associate ourselves with the service (kainkaryam) to the Lord. Significance of the Temple

  1. The diety also has the name 'Sri Kalyana Lakshmi Narasimhar' since holds Lordess Lakshmi closely (Aalinganam)
  2. The Periya Thiruvadi (Garudazhwar) is about four feet heigh and about sixteen serpents adore his body as jewels.
  3. Those who worship this temple for about nine Swathi Nakshatirams are entitled with complete bliss with respect to health and wealth and any associated problems in those vanishes.

  • If the Payee's name on whom Drafts/ cheques are to be sent are published it would be helpful .
    In case Trust has accounts in SBI or any other bank , if acct no is available it would enable those interested to deposit the amt directly into the acct or mention the account no, branch details on drafts etc., for safety.

  • Payment as cash can be sent to ucobank, permbakkam branch, with a specific request to credit the temple account with them. NRIs can also wire tranfer to the same account. But one should know the proceedures.Pl email me at sriuco@yahoo.com for trhe same.

  • dont do anything for trust because you dont know what happend in the year of 2000 to 2005 only sri vaishnava ellaner sangam worked for temple renavation since megash a only person started renavation in the year of 2000 & formed sri vaishnava ellanger sangam and he worked as priest in same temple from mudaliyer caste in 2004 to 2005 then only trust come inside of temple by megash, but megash pushed out from temple by trust

    so, for that trust will you going to give donasion ,i hope you will not donate

    and also village peolpe talking that dovotes money was wested to block the magesh priest posting (ie rs.400000) this is know to all our village people

    so please support for SRI VAISHNAVA ELLANGER SANGAM & MEMBERS TO BECOME AGAIN AS PRIEST FOR SRI LAKSHMI NARASIMER TEMPLE
