"Dhinam Oru Divya Namam" Videos from Saranagathi.Org

"Dhinam Oru Divya Namam" Videos from Saranagathi.Org

It used to be a great pleasure when waking up early in the morning and to tune to Jaya TV at 7 AM to hear the sweet and sacred names of the Lord Sriman Narayana in "Dhinam Oru Divya Namam" by Sri. Ananthapadmanabhachariar.

While I am currently in Irving, TX from the past two weeks, I just felt was missing it. Today, whilst I casually was browsing, came across http://www.saranagathi.org/ hosting out the video recordings of this programme.

I just thought I would share the URL with other readers who would also be immensely benefitted by this great service from http://www.saranagathi.org/. Check out the video hostings from here.

Jag Mein Sundar Hein Do Naam ...

Jag Mein Sundar Hein Do Naam ...

Alone in a different part of the world on a business assignment would drive you mad. And particularly when you don't have much of habits to succumb to crazy habits. Not always though. Thanks to Google YouTube, you have plenty of good contents to stream to your desktop.

I normally love to listen to spiritual discourses. Last week, I got this Hindustani song "Jag Mein Sundar Hein Do Naam" by Anup Jalota and uploaded by weirdindia. I am just sharing with other readers for their benefit too.

This song also brings me a fond recall that it used to broadcast everyday in All India Radio sometime back. Even my late grandfather used to listen to this song with great interest.

Thailavaram Kalyana Anjaneyar Temple

Thailavaram Kalyana Anjaneyar Temple

I have been planning to write this for a while after my visit to this temple a few months back but for some reason because of time and resource constraints, this kept being postponed like anything. Today being Saturday afternoon, I just thought, I would sit down and draft a post on the same.

The Kalyana Anjaneyar temple is located in Thailavaram village near Guduvanchery, (near Tambaram, Chennai). It is 2 Kms from Guduvanchery towards Chengalput. The temple place is also revered as Dakshina Brindaranyam.

A quick search on the Internet got this webpage giving complete details of the temple. For quicker reference, I have given the temple contact address over here:

Sri Seetha Rama Sath Sangam and Sri Guru Seva Samithi Ashram,
GST Road,
Dakshina Brindaranyam,
Thailavaram -- 603 203

Contact Telephone: +919444294783

Morning Prayers and Seeking Pardon to Mother Earth

Morning Prayers and Seeking Pardon to Mother Earth

It should be our everyday practice that in the morning we should always recite some prayers whilst awaking from bed. And if you have been watching the spiritual discourses of Sri Mridul Krishna Maharaj in Sanskar TV, he would advise that before keeping the foot down on the earth, we should ask Mother Earth, Her mercy and pardon since we are walking on Her.

I came across this nice video uploaded by yubacitydude which illustrates two slokas that we should recite whilst waking up and which I wanted to share with all readers:

  1. Karagre Vasathu Lakshmi,
    Karamadhye Saraswathi,
    Karamoole Tu Govinda
    Prabhathey Kara Darshanam
  2. Samudra Vasane Devi,
    Parvata Stana Mandale.
    Vishnupatni Namastubhyam,
    Paada Sparsham Kshamasva Me

Feel free to share this post permalink with your other friends and let everyone benefit from these morning prayers.

Whilst casually browsing through Orkut, I came across the favorite video recommended by my neighborhood friend (Kothai Vedhantham) hosted in YouTube by justprams. I just thought I would share this video with other readers for their benefit so that everyone get the blessings of the Lord Sriman Narayana by viewing this video.
